I am the Lee E. Dirks Chair in Diplomatic History at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and an Associate Professor of History in the Department of History, Tufts University. I am an award-winning historian and currently serve as the chief editor of the Journal of Global History.

My next book, Freedom! A Global History of Decolonization, will be published by Grove/Atlantic (US) and Picador (UK).
